Day 15: I Am

I am a daughter. 

La tercera hija, la bebita. 

The daughter that looks up to her fierce and fearless older sisters.

I am a sister. 

La hermanita, la chiquita. 

The sister that admires and embraces the essence of motherhood because of these hermanas.

I am a mother. 

La mamá de L y L. 

The mother that smiles proudly at and loves her babies like no other.

I am a student. 

La que lo dominó, no una vez, sino, dos veces. 

The student that will never stop learning and feeding her mind with knowledge. 

I am an educator. 

La maestra apasionada.

The educator that will be dependable and collaborative to grow professionally and personally.

Just be one thing, just focus on one thing, don’t do it all they say. 

¿Pero, por qué no?

Soy una hija.

The youngest one, the quietest one.

La hija que admira a su papá por siempre modelar una fuerte ética laboral. 

Soy una hermana. 

The youngest one, the quietest one.

La hermana que valora los consejos de sus hermanas grandes. 

Soy una mamá. 

The youngest is one, the oldest is four. 

La mamá que fue guiada por su propia madre con bondad y paciencia. 

Soy una estudiante. 

Sometimes the youngest one, sometimes the quietest one.

La estudiante que valora el sistema escolar, debido a los grandes maestros y mentores.

Soy educadora. 

Sometimes the youngest one, sometimes the quietest one.

La educadora que se dedica a cada estudiante que conoce, enseña y con el que trabaja.

Just be one thing, just focus on one thing, don’t do it all they say.

I am a daughter, I am a sister, and I am a mother. 

Siempre con el motivo de hacer que mi familia se sienta orgullosa de mí.

In everything I do.

I am a student and I am an educator.

Siempre con humildad para aprender de mis estudiantes y colegas.

In everything I do.

I am where I need to be, where I want to be. 

¿Por qué?

Porque puedo hacerlo, quiero hacerlo, lo haré.
