Day 15: I Am
I am a daughter.Â
La tercera hija, la bebita.Â
The daughter that looks up to her fierce and fearless older sisters.
I am a sister.Â
La hermanita, la chiquita.Â
The sister that admires and embraces the essence of motherhood because of these hermanas.
I am a mother.Â
La mamá de L y L.Â
The mother that smiles proudly at and loves her babies like no other.
I am a student.Â
The student that will never stop learning and feeding her mind with knowledge.Â
I am an educator.Â
La maestra apasionada.
The educator that will be dependable and collaborative to grow professionally and personally.
Â
Just be one thing, just focus on one thing, don’t do it all they say.Â
¿Pero, por qué no?
Â
Soy una hija.
The youngest one, the quietest one.
The youngest one, the quietest one.
The youngest is one, the oldest is four.Â
Sometimes the youngest one, sometimes the quietest one.
Sometimes the youngest one, sometimes the quietest one.
Just be one thing, just focus on one thing, don’t do it all they say.Â
¿Pero, por qué no?
Â
I am a daughter, I am a sister, and I am a mother.Â
In everything I do.
Â
I am a student and I am an educator.
In everything I do.
Â
I am where I need to be, where I want to be.Â
¿Por qué?
Porque puedo hacerlo, quiero hacerlo, lo haré.
